GIZ supports AAEBT 2025 with DJEBTKE

🏆 Appreciation of Various New and Renewable Energy (AAEBT) 2025 is a yearly national event by Kementerian Energi Dan Sumber Daya Mineral that celebrates outstanding contributions from various stakeholders to Indonesia’s renewable energy sector. Now in its third year, the AAEBT has introduced a new category: Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC).

📅 On 13 August 2025, the Directorate for Various New and Renewable Energy (DVNRE) with support from the GIZ Indonesia Energy Programme (via Energy Hub, ExploRE and RE2Grid), hosted a Proposal Development Coaching Session. A total of 38 participants received hands-on guidance and feedback from DVNRE and GIZ advisors to improve their proposals. The event also functioned as a platform for prospective participants to discuss and explore potential collaboration opportunities across Indonesia’s renewable energy sector.

📩 This year, the Directorate for Various New and Renewable Energy recorded a notable ⬆️increase in submissions compared to 2024, receiving a total of 34 proposals from 12 companies spanning multiple categories. With highest share from⚡the Commercial Various NRE Power Plants category.

As a follow up, the GIZ Indonesia Energy Programme also supported the One-on-One Proposal Presentation, held by the Directorate for Various New and Renewable Energy on 17 September 2025. In this session, Board of Jury thoroughly evaluated 23 shortlisted proposals using standardized criteria such as technical specifications, operational data, impact assessment, and supporting documents. The goal was to identify the most innovative proposal💡contributing to Indonesia’s renewable energy development and energy transition objectives.

🤝 Director Andriah Feby Misnah for Various New and Renewable Energy gratefully acknowledged the GIZ Indonesia Energy Programme for its excellent support and cooperation in facilitating AAEBT 2025 activities.

👉 Top performers with the highest Aditama predicate by (sub) category will be nominated for 2025 Subroto Awards. Additionally, this initiative also aims to support Indonesia’s preparation for the 2026 ASEAN Renewable Energy Awards Event.
