1,000 Islands – Renewable Energy for Electrification Programme Phase 2 (REEP2) – Funded by BMZ*
Since July 2021, REEP2’s initiative has been pivotal in enhancing regulatory capacities related to renewable energy through E-Learning programs. The initiative has successfully rolled out comprehensive modules covering critical areas such as demand forecasting, smart grids, and battery storage, culminating in interactive training sessions completed by 2023. These sessions, attended by key personnel from DG NREEC**, DGE***, the Center for Human Resource Development, and PLN****, underscored a commitment to foster a regulatory environment supportive of decentralized renewable energy advancements. This marked a significant stride towards enriching the knowledge-based learning through e-learning materials, including recorded interactive videos, presentations, and handbooks, on essential topics like energy storage systems, smart grid technology, and carbon trading for renewable energy, reinforcing the project’s comprehensive approach to building a robust regulatory workforce well-versed in the latest policy and technical innovations.
