Inclusive Non-State Actors Engagement on Micro Hydro at the 1st Exchange of SSTC DRE Indonesia, Madagascar, Germany

Renewable Energy Minigrids in Triangular South-South Cooperation (ENTRI) – Funded by BMZ**

On 28 November-2 December 2023, the MEMR**, ENTRI, and in coordination with the Indonesian Ministries of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of State Secretariat, the 1st Exchange of South-South and Triangular Cooperation Decentralised Renewable Energy was held and was participated by 13 delegates from Madagascar. Showcasing the pivotal role of non-state actors in micro hydro projects, the delegation visited Heksa Hydro and Renerconys, where Malagasy delegates gained insights into mechanical, electrical, and geospatial aspects of micro hydro planning. The delegation then continued with a visit to Gunung Halu Micro Hydro Power Plant provided hands-on experience. The exchange concluded with an insightful after-action review, laying the groundwork for the next exchange scheduled for June 2024 to solidify the partnership between Indonesia, Madagascar and Germany in the realm of DRE***.
