Strengthening Carbon Pricing Mechanism and Fiscal Framework for Energy Transition in Indonesia (PERFORM) – Funded by BMZ*
As a collaborative effort between the Fiscal Policy Agency of the Ministry of Finance, PERFORM, CASE** and the ICAEW***, the conference on “Accelerating the Development of Transition Finance,” was held on 8 November 2023. Also supported by the United Nations Development Programme and the Climate Policy Initiative, the conference aimed to provide insights into new progress in transition finance, showcase transition finance case studies, technology applications, and investment strategies, and raise awareness about the urgency of climate action and the importance of accelerated transition finance. In her opening remarks, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani emphasised the importance of energy transition in Indonesia to deal with climate change and Indonesia’s commitment to achieving Net Zero Emissions by 2050.
