REEP 1-2 (1000 Islands – Renewable Energy for Electrification Programme)

Providing clean energy access to small islands through the expansion of renewable energy: strengthening decentralized energy regulations, supporting PLN’s system planning and operation for high VRE integration, and promoting pilot projects with the private sector. Implemented by GIZ with support from IKI/BMWK in partnership with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (DG NREEC & DGE) and PLN.

ENTRI (Renewable Energy Minigrids in Triangular South-South Cooperation)

ENTRI implements triangular cooperation, with Indonesia as the pivotal partner, Germany as the facilitating partner, and countries from the global south as the beneficiary partner. The implementation of SSTCs within ENTRI is coordinated with the National Coordination Team of Indonesia South-South Cooperation, which includes the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Indonesian Ministry of State Secretariat, the Indonesian Ministry of Finance, and the Indonesian Ministry of National Development Planning/BAPPENAS. SSTCs enable multi-directional learning, positioning all participating countries, including Indonesia, as both a source of knowledge and/or recipient of knowledge.

SOCOOL (Solar Cold Chains for Green Economy)

Develops solar-powered cold storage systems to improve food security and reduce post-harvest losses while cutting greenhouse gas emissions in the agricultural value chain. Implemented by GIZ with IKI/BMWK support in collaboration with local partners.
